Vani
Vani is a participant of the Laptop Repair Training Program (Chip Level).
Skill Development Initiative
Vani enrolled in the chip-level laptop repair training program with the intention of learning a new technical skill and exploring opportunities in a non-traditional field. With no prior experience in advanced electronics repair, she approached the training with curiosity and a strong willingness to learn through hands-on practice.
As the training progressed, Vani gained a clear understanding of chip-level laptop repair, diagnostics, and servicing processes. The structured sessions helped her build confidence step by step, allowing her to apply theoretical learning through practical exercises. She shares that the hands-on nature of the training played a key role in helping her grasp complex concepts and develop problem-solving skills.
During the course of the training, Vani independently serviced two laptops, an experience that significantly boosted her confidence in her abilities. This practical exposure helped her realize that with consistent practice, she could continue learning and working in the technical repair field.
Vani’s journey reflects how access to skill-based training can enable women to enter technical domains and build confidence in their capabilities. She hopes that more women explore similar opportunities and take up technical skills with confidence.
Vani shares that the training has helped her discover her interest in technical work and has encouraged her to continue developing her skills and pursue sustainable livelihood opportunities.
